Aruba Conservation Foundation recently hosted an inspiring two-day workshop focused on reforesting Aruba’s natural areas with native plants, in collaboration with Tera Barra.
Bringing together plant specialists, conservationists, and nature lovers, this event showcased the power of collaboration in action.
Tera Barra, known for their excellent work reforesting Bonaire with native plants, shared their invaluable expertise during the workshop. They highlighted the critical role native vegetation plays in restoring habitats and supporting biodiversity.
This knowledge is essential for supporting Aruba’s wildlife, including the Yellow-shouldered Amazon parrot, which was recently reintroduced to Aruba after a 75-year absence. With healthy native habitats, the parrots, found on both Bonaire and now Aruba, will have the environment they need to thrive.
World Parrot Trust is proud to support both Aruba Conservation Foundation and Tera Barra’s efforts to restoring essential habitats.
